As we have been doing a lot of work in KENPO covering F5 and it's concepts, and the extensions, how the belt levels works, this is a good time to post this list of how each Kenpo waza relates to an MK
We have referred to this grouping in the past in some sessions when relevant eg
Thundering Hammers
Attacking Mace
Sleeper
Dance Of Death
Flashing Wings
as they all come off the Outside Block, Soto Uke, against a Punch
Thundering Hammers itself and Flashing Wings are in F4, while Sleeper and Dance Of Death are in F5
In STMA this expands our practice in other phases
In JJ we have groups of techniques eg Mount series and Guard series, etc
In KARATE the outside block that starts Thundering Hammers Soto Uke relates to the first Chudan Kihon Ippon Kumite, the block for Five Swords relates to the second, etc
While revisiting Karate, KOPPO, Kali and Wing Chun, and while looking at the new sets from SILAT this year, we can see the ENTRY phase in any of those reflected in the MK of KENPO
