As this is nearer to 40 years than 30, I have renamed this to "40 year history"
We know this appears in Judo and the older JuJutsu as Sangaku Jime
Helio Gracie named this as Triangle Choke, decided on using the Triangle in the Gracie logo due to it's importance, and coined the phrase "there are no Tough Guys in the Choke"
Paired with the Sleeper Mata Leoi Lion Killer done from the Rear Mount these are the most two important Ground chokes
As I always say, once you understand the Principle of The Choke, you understand these are The Same Technique
It is also acknowledged that the Gracie Academy opened in 1925
So this is the 125 year for Gracie JJ
Moving into 2025 we will cover the use of the Triangle on the Mats, and then later on the Grass towards Spring and Summer Season
And keep in mind, as a JUJUTSU technique, it predates the KODOKAN and may have been around for at least another Century before
It's one of those techniques I can say to most people training
"I was teaching this before you were born"
