Enter The Dragon

The film that started it all!

Well, in a manner of speaking

It introduced Bruce Lee to the World, which caused everyone to seek out his other films

And all the people who were inspired to take up MA, whether it was KF or something else, due to watching this film

Not a particular "anniversary", however released in 1973, with 2023 being it's 50th anniversary, and still a film people talk about

So here are the clips, with some followup comments, and we have referenced this on Class and will do again

Fight with Han

NOTES

First fight with Sammo

Bruce's condition

Starts long range, KB distance, the low lead hand

The three TD are more like Aikijutsu - not close range Judo or Wrestling throws, and there is no Trapping

Ground submission armlock

Roper v Bolo

When Bolo gets Roper in Juji Gatame, he uses a Kino bite to escape

As well as good classical Karate, at which John Saxon was a Black Belt with 18 years training, Roper uses good Western Boxing later in the fight, and finishes with a groin kick

When picked up and thrown down, Roper uses a Stage 5 kick and a get up, albeit a fancy one
