The first henka is to use a low cross
We also practice the Long Cross on it's own
We practice the long low cross, gyaku tsuki in Karate on it's own
The long low cross avoids the gloves on the highline, you step outside the opponent's gloves as you drop - the KALI V step on the Fang
We also use the advancing step in this drill
In boxing the Jab and Cross are usually followed by the Hook - we see this is Box Set 2 Number 2

In Savate Set One Number One we now do the low lead fouette
The Cross is thrown from the front stance, we pull back to the side stance, not to throw the hook punch, but the low fouette
This is as in karate, Gyaku Tsuki, pull back Mawashi geri - this can also be done GZ to Uraken backfist in Karate
The second low fouette, with the rear leg, is followed by the left high foutte

This set introduces the Fouette round kick, the whip kick
