The strangest year ever
Made the most of the outdoor training and the chance to tap the Ninja Ryuha in more depth than we first planned
Ended the Sanderstead Dojo and started the Kenley Dojo, our Fourth venue, albeit briefly and very on off
For the first time ever we are uncertain as we go into 2021, the new year
No set Dojo, no opportunity to train outside yet
The intention is that when the "Restrictions " lift, as they have before, we can go back to regular Dojo, in this case it should continue to be Kenley
The intention is, when the weather improves, we can add an Outdoor session again, maybe as early as March
We don't know what will happen, though 2020 gave us unprecedented opportunity to adapt :
All the daytime outdoor circle days for those on things like "shielding" and "furlong"
Private, one on on, or two on one semi private sessions at homes, for those who could do this, including garden training, punchbag sessions
Gyms and leisure centres shut, including halls for Dojo hire - this was not an issue in the Summer for Outdoor Circle training, and will not be again , even under the worst conditions
STMA, in various formats, started in the Summer of 1983, when I taught my first ever "Summer Camp" in August to a group of aspiring Karate students
The Ryuha and Schools we source, from Ninja of Japan, to Kali Warriors of the Phillipines, to the fighters of Thailand, to the warriors of Greece and Rome, all trained and fought outside, different, cultures, countries, climates, conditions, for Centuries
British Shiro Tora WILL continue through the next year, through the next decade
And it is YOU who will make that happen
