We have made a revision to the number reference to the ST KEMPO sets so they are more in line with the study of KENPO from the belt levels
We ultimately expect the ST KEMPO sets to become redundant, however at this time they are a useful guide for the lists of GATA that are "not in the forms"
As we originally had Kihon Fundamental, the Yellow Belt as Set One, MK Master Key as Set Two, when we started adding the "Non MK, non form" gata from Orange and Purple, they became Set Three 3O and Set Four 4P - this becomes confusing when you look at the KENPO lists of 24 and realise Orange in belt 2 and Purple is belt 3, etc - so now is the right time to renumber the ST KEMPO Set lists

2023 revision of the KEMPO sets
As we are now sourcing KENPO sets in order, as belt levels, there is possible confusion in the numbering system from the STMA KEMPO sets as they were set up 10-12 years ago
For this reason we will look to refer to ST KEMPO sets as they relate to the belts levels of KENPO
As a progression, the practice of ST KEMPO sets, in this original method, would become redundant as we develop closer to the formal KENPO list for reference.
Originally in Kenpo there was no Yellow Belt, it was added later and the 10 techniques agreed - they have no extensions the way the rest of the GATA do - at this point the 156 techniques became 154, as both Intellectual Departure and Aggressive Twins were removed - Spreading Branches was removed as a solo technique as it forms part of a 2 man set in Mass Attack
At STMA we still practice Int Dep as part of the MK set, and Aggressive Twins, so we have the full 156
Set 1Y becomes Set 0Y , set Zero - Yellow belt, the "pre set"
Set 2 the MK Master Key becomes Set One
Set 2 is now Orange
Set 3 is Purple
Set 4 is Blue
Set 5 is Green
Set 6 is Brown 1
Set 7 is Brown 2
Set 8 is the Mass Attack - ten two man techniques
As you know
Brown 1 and 2 are advanced and have no extensions later
Brown 3 and then Black 1 to 3 are made up of the extensions to Orange to Green
