The fighter, once the fight started would have been ready to exchange blows, block, counter, take down, he may even have won if he was the better fighter - however he never got the chance because while he was switched off, waiting for the bell to tell him the fight has started, he got hit by surprise
If it works on a Pro fighter it will work on anyone
