STMA 2019

As we reopen our Old-New Dojo we are approaching our 10 year Anniversary in May.

Last year 2018 I posted the full scroll lists for the NINJUTSU Ryuha and we spent several months working on these, in particular Koto Ryu and Gyokko Ryu. We will continue to develop these over the next phase.

We are currently adding some new SAVATE ABCS, new KB combinations, as we have not added to Savate since the last posts in 2013. Once we have experimented with the combinations over several sessions, we will evolve new Savate sets for STMA, to add to the 3 sets we have, make Savate a more developed program, the same way Karate, Kempo, Jujutsu and Taijutsu are.

We are also approaching the bicentennial of our Savate Salle, which was founded in Paris in 1820.

We will also be practicing and streamline our WING CHUN into a program, with levels, and making sure every member gets to step ups develop. We will not be adding or taking away from our WC, as it already incorporates the entire system, we will just be following in steps and levels more comprehensively, as we do on the other systems.

Our KEMPO, KARATE and JUJUTSU systems are comprehensive and detailed, so nothing new will be added to them at this time, however we will be continuing to practice them regularly and in detail.

Now we have established our Tu night DOJO session again, we will look to do some more THURSDAY night GRASS sessions.

These will not be every week, but the opportunity is to have at least one a once, maybe more. In Summer 2015, between the Caterham Dojo closing and the Sanderstead Dojo opening, we spent 4 months doing Grass sessions twice a week, every Monday and Wednesday. We referred to this as "The longest summer camp ever"

Pairing a regular grass session with a regular Dojo session allows us to practice more Koryu long weapons and td techniques outside, while focussing more Goshin training indoors such as kickboxing. This would be particularly useful this new year as we would be able to develop Savate in the Dojo and Ninpo on the grass.
