As well as KALI and KRABI weapons which we have always done, this last couple of years we have gone into more depth with the NINJA weapons of the KUKISHINDEN Ryu, leading me to update an fully list the threads for the techniques

BO
HANBO
NINJA BIKEN- Sword

We have referred the other Ninja weapons, and these have been demod at the Dojo

Shoge, KamaKusuri,
ManrikiKusari
Shuko
Tessen
Jutte
Shuriken

We have always used a lot of material from Japanese Kobudo, the Samurai arts, as they complement Ju Jutsu, and the Okinawan Kobudo, as they complement Karate, though this year we seem to have naturally gone into these with more depth

The WEAPONS Board has posts on these as far back as 2009, when I made the first threads when I was planning the future development of STMA

shirotoratiger.proboards.com/board/2/weapons-kobudo-kali-krabi

This year, following Spring Camp, I have added new dedicated threads to expand on this information and practice for both Japanese and Okinawan Kobudo- JapKob and OkKob

Japanese SEITEI Kobudo from the Zen Nihon Kendo Renmei

Kendo - Iaido - Jodo

shirotoratiger.proboards.com/thread/1731/seitei-kobudo-kendo-iaido-jodo

Okinawan Kobudo from the Zen Nihon Karate Do Renmei

Bo - Nunchaku - Tonfa - Kama - Sai

shirotoratiger.proboards.com/thread/1732/nihon-karate-renmei-nunchaku-tonfa

We are already doing a lot of Bokken Sword and Bo, we have covered the Iai forms and their application, as well as plenty of Jo, including the separate practice of Aiki Jo

We have just started to add Nunchaku for the new generation

We have covered Tonfa before so I would look to dem this further - some older generation STMA have Tonfa and have covered practice at the earlier Dojo

I have demod Kama and Sai at the Dojo and the application

Also added a dedicated thread for the AIKI weapons as we never really listed these together before

shirotoratiger.proboards.com/thread/1733/aiki-jutsu-weapons-bokken-jo

When we go back to JO at forthcoming sessions, we will then look at JO DORI properly, as discussed today

The topics listed here, covered on the five hours of Camp, will be revisited and expanded on over the next several weeks, right up to the planned return to Dojo in the second half of May

The links, to the old threads, some of which go right back to 2009, contain information we will be going over

The clips are to some light hearted stuff, to more direct scenes, and all have a relevance

We will be expanding the weapons practice

Hanbo
Bokken Sword
Jo
Bo

and the threads on the Weapons board contain the new expanded information

The Kempo and Koppo sequences will include more TD and ground finishes

NEwaza Ground is now possible with the better weather so this will now be properly covered
