Punchbag workout
Some members have asked me about the punchbag workout
Those of you who have a punchbag at home, or access to one at a gym certainly can book a punchbag lesson
This is based on the focus pad and this pad sets, however, just as free sparring is about spontaneity, so is the punchbag workout designed to develop free flow so you literally spar the bag
Based over 12 rounds, designed to get a student ready for a 12 round headline march, not a 3 round undercard
What this workout also involves is plyometric drills for power which cannot be done on pads, it is designed for the bag, specific for increasing the power in punches and kicks
We also take care of the guard positioning, so you don't drop you guard while landing the powerful punches and kicks, a common mistake
Once you have learnt the bag workout you can then apply it anytime you want
Unlike the non member lesson, which is one hour on the sets, a bag lesson for the STMA member is of course an hour and a half, and you will be able to apply what you have learnt in class sparring with your classmates
