We mainly do Kempo Jujutsu outdoors
we leave Kali and Kickboxing for the dojo -
kb can't really be done on grass
and the sticks make a lot of noise and attract attention
we have more opportunity and latitude to go to the ground and use it
we have also been doing a lot of Ninpo Taijutsu this year, which overlays the Kempo Jujutsu
it also gives us lots of rolling on the ground
it also gives us the opportunity to use longer weapons such as sword and spear and projectile weapons such as shuriken
it also gives us the opportunity to look at and discuss "ninja" onshin - movement, concealment and escape techniques and tactics in their original environment
this is something you might want to look at a bit more on outdoor courses
