Side Mount - as promised we covered side mount game tonight
starting from outside guard pass we take side mount
side mount control to stop him rolling
switch to kuzure kesa to prevent him shrimping to guard
pass knee drive to mount
now if he keeps shrimping and we can't drive to mount we use ushiro kesa to hold him then have 2 options
step over
hold belt and knee drive
and we are in the mount again
now if he passes our guard to the outside he will take side mount so we defend
shrimp and shoot
or if he establishes, get the frame in, then shrimp from there
now if he stabilises side mount control he will look to pass to the mount with either the step over or knee drive
when he does this, at the moment his lead knee reaches and his weight shifts you shrimp out on the other side and put him back in the guard
a lot of advanced strategy and a lot of things to play with both drilling and sparring in the future sessions
