In karate kicking in the dojo is learnt kihon, advancing in a straight line
There are four kicks
Mae Geri front kick
Mawashi Geri round kick
Yoko Geri kekome side kick
Ushiro Geri back kick
Renwaza is a combination of two techniques, in this case two kicks
In kickboxing we have the concept of Double Pursuing kick, to chase down a retreating opponent
In the ring two kicks will cover the distance from the centre to the ropes or corner
As exercise in seidokan, taking karate kihon to the ring, is a sequence of four kicks done along the apron of the ropes
Four sequences, one for each side
If you watch love boxing matches you will see an aggressive forward boxer like Marciano, Liston or Tyson, advancing on an opponent who retreats back along all four sides
We apply this method with out double pursuing concept, boxing with the kicks
