There are only two major chokes you need for street defence
Sleeper - hadaka jime - Lion killer
and
guillotine
it is important to know the guilloine defence
the best sleeper defence is Sweetcorn
if the geezer is wearing a gi we employ 2 versions of okuri eri jime, the sliding collar choke, and kata ha jime, the shoulder version, creating a total of 5 in the set:

In the standing choke set, known as the VT set we have 3 true chokes

the 4th technique we use in this set is the armlock using chin turn
presuming the opponent will be wearing some kind of clothing we make okuri eri jime the 5th technique in the set
there is a set of 5 collar chokes which are not usually done in VG as they are not the best at this range or phase
eri shime are best done in newaza, and usually from the guard, though with the proper mount control, can be done from the mount
