As we have STMA Ju Jutsu and are adding to it and developing it, we will list 3 distinct sub disciplines:
Jiu Jitsu - shoot, td and newaza
Judo - throws
Aikido - immobilisations and projections
these are named after the MAs they represent and are drawn from, however we interpret them differently and also draw from the original ryuha these arts have their roots and common origin in
eg:
9 different traditional ryuha such as gyokushin ryu and takagi yoshin ryu
modern jujutsu
Judo and aikido come from Jujutsu
Tomiki blends judo and aikido
Judo, in it's easlier form of Kano JJ, learnt by Maeda, is taught to the Gracies in Brazil
become Gracie Jiu Jitsu in 1925
so STMA Jiu Jitsu also evolves along the same lines
however our intention is to be functional for Street so it all works on the wood, not just the mat, so it will work on the pavement
and we also tap back into the Gyokushin Ryu ninja roots
