these takedowns are proactive, you choose to close the gap and go to the ground, and usually end up with you taking the mount and playing Mount game
there are a couple of exceptions - when you are losing the clinch and have to pull guard, and when you lose the guillotine and have to pull guard - but that is still done in a postive proactive way
even if your opponent gets you in a headlock or guillotine, you take it to the floor and regain control with the mount
