It's the boxing advancing step - the rear heel is already raised so you push off the rear foot and stab the lead foot forward

you do the opposite in retreat while parrying or holding the pad

in the ring you can cover the space from the centre to the ropes in 2 steps

we will do some more of the footwork exercises next year as nobody green and below has done them

as always think outside the Tesseract - look at how a runner starts from the block to get that burst to overcome the inertia

and look again at Newton's first law
