I spoke tonight about competition fighting, my thoughts and experiences, and why it is just another form of sparring
I said I would link the earlier thread where this had been discussed previously - it was actually started by Ren in the General folder and this was back in 2009 when we had only been open about six months and were evolving the early training sessions and weeding out a lot of people

it is interesting to see Chip's thoughts back when he was a trainee in the police and probably about an orange or maybe green belt here
also interesting to note that no STMA member did ever go on to compete in any kind of competition - which at the time I said I was perfectly happy with
