check out this clip of Ryron rolling in the dojo which he narrates:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=tEYFiaNv1I4

note the playfull cooperative nature of the rolling - it is not a fight or competition - he is a training partner not an opponent

try moves to see your partner's training strategy

2 ways to roll:
take every submission you can get
or
take all the knowledge you can get

allow yourself to be put in the guard, in the triangle set up, allow him to escape your mount

letting yourself get mounted or side mounted only has benefits

feeling, observing, watching

see what reactions you get when you grab his wrist and arm - like chi sao

Ryron is a 5th dan rolling with a purple belt allowing him setups - egoless sparring - he says he would have no problem tapping if the lock was on because he would be learning form it "stealing information"

remember - egoless sparring

Ryron's fave part of JJ is the mount so when he gets the chance he plays there, has some fun with it - Royce's fave might be the guard, Rickson's the rear mount - what's yours?

and yes, he does the Mount Triangle

he lies there watching and observing, waiting - at one point he doesn't even recognise the move the partner is going for, so he watches to see what happens - then the partner goes for the armbar, so he counters - and then stays there so he can see what the partner can do to re-establish the lock

he allows his back to be taken so he can work his back defence

Watching the second hand - in kali serrada we call this Third Hand Monitor

It's 8 minutes long and worth watching - see how your rolling compares
