DAKI AGE is the technique from the Advanced/Higher set of 67/68 at the Kodokan that was taken in and then out of both the official syllabus, and whether it was allowed in SHIAI Competition
NAGE means Throw
AGE means rising/rise - as in Age Uke, Rising Block in Karate
The point of Daki Age is to Lift/Rise the opponent - the implication is that once he is up there you could slam him down - in a match that would be an Ippon and KO, in Street it would kill them - in Shiai, once you got the opponent up there, the match is stopped and you are awarded the point, you do not slam the opponent to the mat, the point is to get the AGE, there is no NAGE
Then it got banned again anyway
Done from the Guard, it can be countered by proper Guard, use of Stages 1 to 5, Guard sweeps
In WWF and WWE, it is of course set up a a full throw, the Powerbomb
Done by the bigger wrestlers, eg Kevin Nash and Sid Viscous, 7 foot tall, against usually the smaller opponent, it is a Finisher
It has been used, to a lesser degree, in CAGE, when in the Guard
Seen as PowerBomb, it would look to be a good counter to a Double Leg attack
We have yet to see a PowerBomb in the UFC
