First long STMA JJ Drill - we work the variations against different skilled opponents
Escape mount standard - pass guard standard - mount control side to side - americana standard
Escape mount punch - outside guard pass - hi swim - "striking" americana armlock
Escape mount headlock - double underhook pass - lo swim - headlock americana
STMA Guard RDD - though this is one of the variations of R12, it is an important one, as it deals with the opponent too heavy to Upa, so we practice it here as a deliberate drill to get the reflex right
Elbow escape Mount - GK Triangle choke
STMA Mount UPA RDD
Once you have the Mount and have established Mount Control and Escape Counters, you are ready for a Mount submission - the vulnerable moment here is that going for the Submission creates the opponent the opportunity for escape, so we need to be ready to establish Guard immediately - the opponent immediately begins striking so we need to work Punch defence before we can move to Guard submissions
Mount Americana - Guard punch def - appears as RD 8
Take Back Sleeper - Guard punch def
Armbar - Guard punch def
