Here is a great clip, in slo-mo, of an athlete doing the clean and jerk lift
www.youtube.com/watch?v=4YJ_L7jqgoA
this is at a cross fit gym so he is not a powerlifter, so you can see the proper use of leverage based technique and stance - as well as hoko kamae, the bear, he uses zenkutsu dachi, the forward bow stance - these you will recognise
here is another athlete repping a clean and jerk:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=37FRuKqW0ME
note he only uses bear, no front stance, and how his posture is what keeps him going as his muscles get tired - this is how athlete train for this type of event, same way as we would repeat punches and kicks on pads, step drills, stick drills, hubud, etc
also note the product placement - Project Mayhem, Rogue's name appears everywhere, and there is a stupid dog being More Cat
what I said about junan taiso body conditioning - anyone who wants to become athletic, and that applies to MA, needs to directly train those attributes including strength, flexibility and fitness, if they want to push it beyond the normal limits - it is not necessary for what we do, but it is there for those who have the want or need to achieve it
an example I gave before was you do to do intense junan taiso to be able to do ninja onshinjutsu - you simply cannot learn advanced climbing skill for example until you body is conditioned to handle it - so I would teach you advanced Junan Taiso before I taught you moko ton jutsu (wood escapes)
