serrada stick and knife full sequence, took about half an hour
used kote gaeshi as knife disarm in the tendensia drill
kicking:
drilled dte thai kick as kick for kick drill
the jumonji hand concept to make sure you are never unguarded while kicking
taking a free kick as a way to think outside the box, not just doing a "martial arts kick"
Frank Lampard taking a free kick (and missing as usual)
bil sao with the ben kick - Bil and Ben
remember Bil and Ben for covering and distracting on the hi punch line while taking out the lead leg with the lo kick
- and remember the Combat Concept longest weapon to closest target
chi sao -
review gor sao and add some moves
from bon sao position
- inside pak sao to gum sao step and strike
- outside tan da
from tan sao position
- tan to garn to tan - lin sil die dar
so we now have 5 gor sao attacks
we then sparred chi sao to bring it all out
the NRG that makes it work - WC NRG dan chi, bon lop, vu sao
mantis to fill in the gaps
Kempo - SD sets
yawara concepts - the shortest stick, called palm stick or pocket stick
though we can order members the composite yawara, you can make your own by cutting down a broken stick
a weapon you never need be without
boxing -
ABC - box set one on gloves
SDA - lo punch - including low block def
cover PIA again - lo punch to hi punch
ABD - attack by drawing - draw lo punch and aim for the brain
the 5th way of attack is HIA - trapping - this can be done in boxing if you use the kempo method, the obvious being lop sao or jut sao as in B1a
sparring:
didn't have a lot of time and could have done with more, but we laid the groundwork for future sessions, and we will build on this next week
