Matsui is one of the greatest karate fighters of all time, one of the first to complete the 100 man kumite at the Kyukushin Hombu in Japan
Andi was a great Kyukushin fighter, then K1 and Muay Thai champion, one of the greatest kickboxers of all time
here we see them in full contact karate kumite - the only thing not allowed is face punching
it is a great example of how a karate match should be fought at the highest level and something you should all aspire to in your karate sparring
however what is really interesting is 7.05 where Andi accidently catches Matsui with a jaw shot - and Mat goes straight to the mat - one of the toughest karate men in the world, fighting a several minute full contact match, yet ONE accidental blow to the jaw floors him
what does that tell you? That the surprise KO punch to the jaw is still the most effective Self Defence move ever

This second clip is amusing, and makes the same point - a full contact fighter turns up ready for an all out war, ready to be hit full contact in the face with VT gloves - yet because it was a surprise attack and he WASN'T READY he got knocked out
