Bane v Wayne

Here is the clip from Dark Knight Rises where Bane fights and defeats Bruce Wayne

I always refer to this fight as with "Bruce", as it is NOT with "Batman". As Alfred tells him earlier in the film "You can put on your mask and go out there, but that doesn't make you what you were, that time is past" (paraphrased) . So Bruce puts on the suit and goes out there. But he isn't Batman. Bane first addresses him as "Mr Wayne", then a bit later as "Bruce". Bane knows this isn't Batman he's facing and beats him directly and simply, beats his body and his spirit. Real Ninjutsu.

Though the final move is the Back Breaker from Wrestling, not as well captured here as it was in the iconic pic from Knight Fall, for those who know their comics, the actual move that floors Bruce is a variation of Thundering Hammers. Bruce comes swinging, Bane avoids, lands the body blow, skips the kidney shot, and goes direct to the Rabbit Punch

Which proves when the League want to get serious, they refer back to the Kempo Master Keys

Of course when Bruce overcomes his fear and climbs out of The Pit without the ropes, that is when he becomes Batman again. Bane couldn't escape The Pit, neither could Bruce. But Batman could and does. That is why the film is called Dark Knight Rises. Alfred's speech earlier in the film alludes to this

"Sometimes a man rises from the darkness. Sometime The Pit sends something back" as we see the Bat Suit rising from the ground. The speech looks like it's supposed to be about Bane, but it isn't, because Bane never escaped The Pit. The speech, albeit unknowingly, foretells Batman's rise from The Pit.

(the only other person to ever escape was Talia, the child of Ras Al Ghul)

So it is Batman who goes back to Gotham and defeats Bane in Combat.

To be fair, as those of you who saw BvS know, even Superman couldn't beat Batman in a fight. What chance did Bane ever really have?
