Blades and sticks

The stick arts complement Karate-Do. They are self defence weapons using blunt force trauma and impact.

Although it is possible to kill or maim with impact weapons, just as it is with empty hands (Kara Te), it is possible to choose not to.

There is no benign way to fight with a blade. If you use a blade you will kill or maim your opponent.

Blades are the "dark side" of STMA - what we are developing as "Black Dragon".

The Ninja and Samurai arts of Japan, the Kali warrior arts of the Philippines and the Krabi weapons of Thailand fit into BDMA.

The unarmed part of BDMA is the koppojutsu bone breaking art.

At this time I'm sticking all the "dark" stuff into BDMA as it has no place in the benign Self defence system that is STMA.

Later I may teach BDMA as a system - but it would only be to the right people!
