As we are evolving what is Shiro Tora Judo in effect, we can rearrange the techniques to suit our practice
Just as we have the 17 Randori in the Tomiki Aikido, the first 17 Waza of the Gokyo make a nice Randori if we re organise the sequence
So another STMA Initiative using Tomiki concept when he founded his aikido, back to the Judo Gokyo
As we first start sweeps in CRA from Silat,
then the WC sets,
in Karate,
then the combat throws in Ninpo,
the takes downs in the JJ Combatives,
this is the best way to structure them for our purposes
These are the 8 waza from Kodokan Orange and Green belt levels, in a different order
The 17th technique, from the Blue belt level is Ko Soto Gake, the outside Hook sweep, which we do in the JJ Combatives
4 Sweeps Harai
De Ashi Harai
Hiza Guruma
Sasae Tsurikomi Ashi
Okuri Ashi Harai
4 Reaps Gari
O Soto
O Uchi
Ko Soto
Ko Uchi
Plus Ko Soto Gake
8 Nage Throws
O Goshi
Uki Goshi
Koshi Guruma
Seoi Nage - Morote version is used in Orange, with Ippon considered Advanced
Tai Otoshi
Harai Goshi
Uchi Mata
Tsurikomi Goshi
Beyond the new Randori we can create an advanced sequence from the later moves
These have already been covered and discussed in Class, and used in sequences
In JJ Combatives:
Morote Gari - Double leg td
Yoko Guruma
Tani Otoshi
Sukui Nage
Other:
O Soto Otoshi - pairs with O Soto Gari - this is when you hold the neck like Irimi Nage and drop rather than reap
- the third version is O Soto Guruma - Hip Wheel
- O Soto Makikomi - the throw stalls so wrap the arm
- see also Kempo Tripping Arrow which sets up with Atemi
Ashi Guruma
O Guruma - these two follow on from Tai Otoshi and Harai Goshi in that you "wheel" the Uke over the leg or hip, with one version lifting the leg
Soto Makimoni - the "Remco" throw from UFC 2
Kuchiki taoshi
Kibisu gaeshi
Ura Nage - - rear throw belly to back suplex
Kani Basami - rice bail throw from wrestling
We probably won't use these in practice, but we have seen and referenced them and will again
Kata Guruma
Tomoe Nage
Tawara Gaeshi
Daki Age
